ICC Champion’s Trophy 2017, the 2nd Semi-Final match is going to be played in Edgbaston, Birmingham between India and Bangladesh on 15th June. The winner of the second semi-final will be taken to Lord’s in which the team will have to play with the winner of the first semi-final match i.e. Pakistan. The Semi-Final will be seen at the second phase side of Group A taken on first phase side from Group B. Being India as the defending Champions, the ICC Champion’s trophy 2017 seeing top 8 teams in the ICC ODI Rankings Fight in the middle in order to get the coveted title. All the 8 teams were divided into two groups i.e. Group A & Group B comprising of four teams each.
In Group A, one can see Australia, Bangladesh, England and New Zealand having a battle for their place in the semi-finals, while in Group B one can see Pakistan, South Africa, India and Sri Lanka. The two teams who will be qualifying the semi-finals 1 and 2 will be declared to play the Finals at Lord’s on 18th. The first Semi-Final has been won by Pakistan by 8 wickets against England at Sofia Gardens, Cardiff on 14th June. It is a matter of strange that there is no match which is going to be played at Lord’s as all the eight teams have to play all the matches at Edgbaston, The Oval and Cardiff Wales Stadium.
