The final group stage match of group A is going to played between New Zealand and Portugal on 24th June at Saint Petersburg Stadiums on 8:30 pm IST (18:00 local time ).

In the previous matches of Portugal in the confederations cup, it had a draw with Mexico by 2-2 and a win over Russia by 0-1 and occupies second position in the group A after Mexico and for New Zealand, there is bad luck for them in this cup as they loses from Russia by 2-0 in their first match and from Mexico by 2-1 and therefore lies on the bottom in the group A .

The chances for New Zealand is mere to qualify in the semifinals of the confederations cup and therefore they just try to get a win in this FIFA confederations cup and to show that they have the same intensity and determination as they have on their first match in this senior FIFA tournament

Only a draw can put Portugal’s team into the semifinals, so Portugal’s coach Fernando Santos decided to shuffle his players and decided to give rest to the star striker Ronaldo and other key players which become high relief news to the All Whites.

But for Portugal, it is a golden chance to make sure their spot for semi’s as they have their one foot already in the semifinals as top two teams of both the group are eligible to play semis. So, they are fully determined to grab this match on their side and aimed to place in the top two teams of the group A.

Key Players of both the teams

From New Zealand ‘s younger player Dane Ingham and star performer Coveny and Reid are expected to perform well in this match. There is an expectation of changes in the team by the coach Hudson and giving a new- look side of their team to increase the chance of winning this match.

In the absence of Ronaldo, Andre Silva is the most likely alternative source of goals in this match. Bernardo Silva is expected to attack the opponent team as early as possible and put them in high pressure. All over, all the players are seemed to play a defensive game.
